Hello viewers! I am Rakib. In this lesson, I will talk about layer style in Photoshop. To apply layer style in a layer, you have to first select that layer and go to layer, layer style and you can pick any of the style from here. Let's choose any of the one to start with. Later you will find all the options here. You can pick any of the style from here and also you can deselect any of the style from here. So when the preview is selected, if you click any of the style; then you can see immediately it shows you the result and and when you have selected any of the style, you can modify it on the right side, the structure and the shading; you can change the depth, you can change the size, soften, you can also put the values here. Also you can change the shading, Gloss Contour. You can also choose a color for the highlight mode. Let's change the depth. So in this way, you can customize this and apply it in your layer and within the bevel and emboss you can also apply the texture. You can select the pattern from here, also you can scale it if you want and also you can select the depth, Set it to 30 and you can also apply stroke. If you select it, you can see a stroke that is black currently. You can change it from here and you can select the size of the stroke, increase or decrease it from here, the opacity of the stroke and also some other options. You can check them out. and you can apply inner shadow, inner glow, satin, color overlay. You can pick a color overlay if you want. You can change it like this. Let's uncheck this now. You can also apply gradient overlay if you want. You can select the gradient from here. You can also apply pattern overlay. You can again scale or change the opacity from here. The outer glow and the drop shadow. The bevel and emboss, stroke and the drop shadow; these are the three that you'll be using them the most so I am highlighting these three mostly. You can change the opacity of the shadow, you can also change the angle by clicking anywhere and you can select the distance and spread. You can also increase or decrease the size and also from the quality, you can change the contour, so let's select it and when the customization is completed, you can click OK and now you will see the all effects are here in this layer and you can toggle these effects at once clicking here and also you can toggle individual effect or style. If you want you can transfer this style to any other layer like if you click here and drag it and drop it into any different layer then you will see the styles are transferred into that layer and the previous layer has no style currently. So in this way, you can transfer the layer styles and if you want to copy the layer style to multiple layers you can hold Alt from your keyboard and then you can drag and drop it into another layer then that layer style will be copied to another layer. Another way of copying layer style is, right clicking on the layer and selecting copy layer style and then select the layer and select paste layer style. In this way, you can also copy and paste layer styles and if anytime you want to remove this layer style then you can click here and drag and drop it to the trash. That will remove the style from that layer. You can also right-click to any of the layer and select clear layer style, that will also do the same. So in this way, you can apply layer styles to the layers in Photoshop and also you can apply these layer styles to any of the other shape or object layers. This is just not for the texts; you can apply them any of the layer you want. So thanks for watching this video. Hope to see you guys in the next lesson.
